Doris M. Aument, 84, of Salunga, formerly of Mount Joy, died Sunday morning at Hospice of Lancaster County in Mount Joy. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Nedra Diffenderfer. Doris retired in 1982 after 11 years of service from the Armstrong Carpet Plant where she worked as an inspector. She was a member of the Trinity Evangelical Congregational Church, Mount Joy. Doris enjoyed flowers, gardening and traveling but relished most in the company of her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Robert Aument and his wife Linda, Landisville; Linda wife of John Hill, Conestoga; Michael Aument, Denver and Andrew Aument of Salunga; 13 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren. A sister, Jacquelyn Gingrich, Chambersburg; an Aunt Edna Fitzkee, East Petersburg and a sister-in-law, Joyce Rohm, also survives.
