Born in Earl Township, he was the son of the late Abram and Bertha S. Stauffer. He was the husband of the late Elizabeth E. "Betty" Keller Stauffer who died in 2006. Edwin owned and operated a farm in Lebanon County; he also worked at the former Calcite Quarry, Lebanon. For many years he was a faithful deacon at the Lititz Dunkard Brethren Church and in his latter years he was a member of the Brethren Fellowship Church, Ephrata.
