Jay Albert Hostetter, 72, of 833 Lititz Road, Manheim, passed away on Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at Hospice of Lancaster County, Mount Joy. Born in Manheim, he was the son of the late J. Albert and L. Beatrice Lesher Hostetter. He was the husband of Martha H. Hostetter and they would have celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary in December. A life long farmer, Jay also worked twenty-two years at Dutch Gold Honey, Inc., Lancaster. He was a 1955 graduate of Manheim Township High School and a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, East Petersburg, where he was active in the church choir. Jay was also a member of the Manheim Township Lions Club. A craftsman, Jay enjoyed making wooden ornaments, birdhouses and other crafts.
Surviving in addition to his wife are three children, Karen H. wife of James C. Bradley of Lititz, Timothy J. husband of Heather W. Hostetter of Lancaster, Noelle H. wife of Randy P. Criswell of East Petersburg; five grandchildren, Sean and Kylie Criswell, Michael and Madison Hostetter and Justin Bradley.
