Louis J. Wittensoldner, 81, of Lititz, formerly of Lancaster, passed away peacefully Thursday, January 20, 2011 surrounded by his family, after a brief illness. Born in Lancaster, Louie was the son of the late Ludwig and Elizabeth (Koestner) Wittensoldner. He was married for 49 years to the late Phyllis M. (Hess), who died in 2002.
Louie was a 1948 graduate of Lancaster Catholic High School, where he played football and basketball. After attending barber school he worked in his brother George's barber shop. Louie served as a Sergeant in the US Army, and he was stationed in Korea during the Korean Conflict. He later attended Lancaster Business School and worked for Norman Strosser, CPA as an accountant. Louie retired as plant manager from The William Carter Co., Leola after 40 years of employment. Following his retirement, Louie worked for 13 years in the mail room at Fulton Bank.See the full content of this document
