Summary
nMajor Tom Walton is currently attending the Command and General Staff Officers' School, for midlevel officers, where he was accepted into a recently created Scholars Program, available to only 24 students out of the current class of over 1,000. In addition to a core curriculum, consisting of military tactics, doctrine, history, leadership, problem solving and mission planning, he will complete a masters of military arts and sciences from the Command and General Staff College.
A Lancaster County native, he is a veteran of both the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, having been twice awarded the Bronze Star.
