Summary
F&M College has asked the city to allow it to install boulevard pole lights and cameras between the curb and the sidewalk on the Race Avenue and Buchanan Avenue sides of city-owned Buchanan Park. My neighbors and I oppose this plan.
It appears that F&M made its proposal for the security of the students. But the city can increase the security of this area - for students and citizens alike - without F&M's pole lights and cameras. The city can ask PP&L to increase the wattage of some or all of its street lights. PP&L also can install new street lights on existing poles or new poles.See the full content of this document
