Robert Eugene Sipling "Sip" passed away peacefully at Masonic Village in Elizabethtown, Pa., on Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2011. Born on December 31, 1925, he was the son of the late Daniel and Stella Sipling. Sip graduated from East Donegal High School in 1943. Shortly after graduation, he joined and proudly served our country as a Sergeant in the United States Army during World War II. Sip retired from the New Cumberland Army Depot on January 2, 1981 after 31 years of federal service. He married Dorothy Lois Blymier on June 18, 1949. Sip was an active member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church in Elizabethtown, Pa. Sip was a true outdoorsman who enjoyed activities such as hunting, fishing, golfing, and taking trips to his hunting camp in Lycoming County. He always knew where he was going in life and committed himself to his wife and family. Sip willingly accepted the difficult tasks of leading and making sacrifices for his family to ensure that those whom he held dear were always taken care of. Sip was a kind and generous man with high principles who always provided his family with safety, protection, patience and love.

Robert Sipling is survived by his wife, Dorothy Sipling of Rheems; a daughter, Nancy Diem and son-in-law, Jeffery Diem of Maytown; and two grandchildren, Katherine Diem of Maryland and Christopher Diem of Maytown.
