She was the wife of the late Lewis E. Sweger who preceded her in death in 1988. Born in Ickesburg, PA, Perry County, she was the daughter of the late John M. and Edna Gray Hartman.
Sally was a Language Teacher, teaching English, Latin and French for seven years for the Juniata County School District. She was a Graduate of Ickesburg High School Class of 1938 and a Graduate of Lebanon Valley College Class of 1942 and did Graduate work at Susquehanna University. She was a member of the Columbia Presbyterian Church where she was a former Sunday School Teacher, a member of the Gleaners Sunday School Class, served as a Church Deacon and served on the Women's Association. She was a volunteer for the former Columbia Hospital, Columbia Meals on Wheels Program and various activities at St. John's Herr Estate.See the full content of this document
