Summary
I was shocked to turn to the opinion page and read Cal Thomas' column ("War by any other name"), which decried the "growing number of Islamic studies courses at American universities," asking "What is there to study?" It went on to assert that radical Muslims are "infiltrating Western nations with the purpose of undermining them." Thomas goes on to state that "during World War II, we did not establish schools of Nazi studies at American universities ... We carpet-bombed German cities."
Thomas' words speak for themselves. Islam is a religion adhered to by one-fifth of all human beings on the planet, the vast majority of whom abhor terrorism and violence. There is even a small Muslim community here in Lancaster.See the full content of this document
